Basic Obedience

The purpose of basic obedience lessons is to teach a dog foundational commands and behaviors such as come, sit, stay, down, and heel. These commands not only provide a well-behaved dog, but also ensure their safety in potentially dangerous situations. Obedience training also helps strengthen the bond between a dog and their owner, as it establishes clear communication and expectations. Ultimately, basic obedience lessons provide a solid foundation for further training and socialization.

Rebel Ranch offers a twelve-week class which reinforces the fundamentals of good pet ownership and is designed to create an obedient and confident dog. Upon successful completion, dogs will earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen designation. This introductory course is designed for dogs over the age of 1 year or after completing Puppy 101

  • socialization and distractions.

Courses can be started at any time. The course is over twelve consecutive weeks.
